Airbnb – private holiday rentals

Renting out one’s own house via platforms such as Airbnb and Wimdu continues to grow steadily. These kinds of rentals, however, are bound by rules. The policies vary per municipality. The city of Amsterdam has made it one of its priorities to enforce regulations against illegal holiday rentals. Fines have been raised and will be imposed more frequently. Amsterdam demands electronic notification and as of 2019 Amsterdam premises can only be used for holiday rentals for a maximum of 30 days a year. Do you consider such “social travelling” rentals? Avoid unpleasant surprises, we can advise you about what your municipality does and does not allow and which approach is required.
