Dismissal

Dutch employment law describes many ways of terminating an employment contract (dismissal). Employment contracts for a definite period of time usually end by law (automatically). In the course of time an employment contract can become indefinite. An indefinite employment contract can be terminated by cancellation. Whether this is possible, depends on many factors. What is the cause for a dismissal, are there economic reasons, is there a file, has the employer or employee acted in a culpable manner? On occasion there are (urgent) reasons for the immediate termination of an employment contract (summary dismissal). Unger Nolet Lawyers have years of experience with all forms of dismissal.
